Snowmass is the home of world-class skiing and after-skiing fun and excitement. You will have your choice of four mountains to ski: Snowmass, Aspen, Highlands and Buttermilk, which will offer all levels of skiing.  Your lift ticket will be accepted at all four mountains.  And for this trip, the Club will offer low-priced group lift tickets that you can order in advance, which will save you time and money from the high-priced, long line, ticket window prices at the mountain. With the convenience of the free shuttle buses running every 15 minutes, or steps away from Snowmass mountain, your only decision will be “Which mountain will I ski today?”  Or when you’re not skiing, just jump on the shuttle to head over to Aspen, only 9 miles away (20 minute convenient shuttle ride) for its world renowned shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. You may even spot a few celebrities

OTHER WINTER  ACTIVITIES: For those who want to pursue other winter sports, try Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing with over 80 kilometers of groomed trails, sleigh riding, snowmobiling, snow tubing at Tube Town, ice skating, dog sled rides, and Snow Cat rides.  What more could you ask for?

NON-SKIING ACTIVITIES:  Need a break from skiing or not a skier?  There is a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and bars either at Snowmass Village or in the quaint and ever popular town of Aspen.  The Snowmass Village Mall has many shops and restaurants.  If you don’t find what you are looking for, catch the 20-minute shuttle ride over to Aspen.  Both areas offer great cuisine and entertainment of all types.  Combine all of this with great shopping, and you have Snowmass/Aspen offering the complete vacation experience! The NEW Snowmass Village (one level down from the Stonebridge Inn) is now open and hosts a number of restaurants, bars and lounges for those who would like to stay close to the Inn for night time dinner /entertainment.

LESSONS:   Are you new to skiing?  Just need a refresher course?  The new beginner’s area called Elk Camp Meadows made its debut last season at the top of the Elk Camp Gondola.  It has a new quad chair, two new surface lifts and six acres of terrain exclusively dedicated to beginners.  You can sign up for lessons at any of the four mountains. Here is a link to check out times, prices, and locations. http://www.stayaspensnowmass.com/p-colorado-ski-lessons.php

KIDS ACTIVITIES:  Let your kids enjoy a Swiss Family Robinson adventure at The Treehouse in Snowmass.  It is the first of its kind in the snow sports industry, boasting a family-friendly climbing gym, teen activities, kids’ retail, and a host of themed rooms for ages eight weeks and older.  It is located at the base of the Fanny Hill lift.  The facility is linked to a system of seven new lifts, including kid-friendly gondolas and magic carpets, to provide a seamless on-mountain learning experience for people of all ages and levels.    This is just a short walk from our lodge.  http://www.snowmassvillage.com/treehouse-kids-adventure-center

It is easy to see why Snowmass is among the top-rated ski areas and one of the best places to ski in America.  You still don’t know if you should book this trip?  Well, take a look at the snow conditions, town map, or trail map!!  Check out this web site: http://www.snowmass.com/resorts06.aspx?resid=18.

So come along with us!!! Peggy and Vicky are busy planning the fun and exciting activities for the entire group.  We are also experienced skiers and are ready to put our experience to work for you. Leave the details to us and enjoy your vacation!!  Do not get left behind!!!

We only have 84 spots on this trip. We are flying into Eagle Airport which is only about 1 hour traveling time to Snowmass.  This trip will sell out fast!

MOUNTAINS:   This ski area provides a world-class experience with nearly 5,000 acres in which to play.  With the all-mountain lift ticket, you can enjoy all four beautiful and breathtaking mountains in one week, Snowmass, Aspen, Aspen Highlands, and Buttermilk. Whether you’re a skier or snowboarder, a beginner or expert, your lift ticket is good at all four!

SNOWMASS:  Outside our backdoor we will have 3,132 skiable acres of varying terrain and 4,406 vertical feet.  We will have 23 lifts and 90 trails that include an abundance of intermediate-to-expert ski runs.  Snowmass has been very last summer installing the $7 million New Sheer Bliss Lift, which will carry riders 2,212 vertical feet and will have a ride time of just over nine minutes.  This lift can carry 2,000 people per hour, which in ski terms means “shorter” lift lines.  Take a look:  http://blog.stayaspensnowmass.com/archives/2008/04/new_sheer_bliss.html.  Needless to say, Snowmass offers something for everyone.  Boarders are welcome on all four mountains.

ASPEN:  If you would like a challenge, try Aspen (Ajax Mountain), which is ideal for intermediate to expert skiers, as it offers some of the most challenging trials in the world.  From the steep, gladed runs of the “Dumps” to the incredible bumps on Ruthie’s Run, Aspen Mountain is truly the athlete’s dream.  Aspen Highlands has always been a local’s favorite with uncrowded slopes, terrific views, exciting and diverse terrain and the longest vertical drop in Colorado.  There’s something for everyone here from the gentle beginning slopes, the beautiful intermediate cruising terrain, to the more challenging Steeplechase.  Every level of skier and snowboarder will enjoy this experience.   Buttermilk Mountain is one of the best learning/teaching mountains in the world.  It is an excellent learning mountain for new skiers and riders. Buttermilk is the home for the ESPN Winter X Games through 2010.
