The Tampa Bay Snow Skiers & Boarders is excited to announce the creation of
the TBSS&B Youth Foundation! 
The foundation will provide funding for under-served youth in the Tampa Bay area to foster a love of winter sports while building leadership & competency skills.  The TBSS&B Youth Foundation partners with the Snow Sport Outreach Society, mountain resorts, youth agencies & private corporations & donors to create an effective winter sports leadership development program for underserved youth.

 Our goal is to host “Learn to Ride” youth ski camps in partnership with the Snowsport Outreach Society and Vail Resorts.    SOS is a snow sport youth charity based out of Colorado’s Vail Valley.  The organization helps transform at-risk kids into focused young adults by combining the challenge of learning a new sport and teaching valuable life skills with a focus on five leadership values:

SOS relies on corporate donations and the ski industry to provide clothing, equipment rental, lift tickets and professional snowboard and ski instruction as well as focused leadership training.  In 2007, SOS supported 2800 students through programs at 28 ski resorts.

Our vision is to have students incorporate the 5 core leadership values into their lives to enhance decision-making skills as they make everyday decisions.   Students will also participate in community service and learn from adult mentors.  The overall program will aid students in building character & positive self-esteem.

Our mission is to provide a program of character building for financially underprivileged youth to enhance their decision-making for healthy and successful life experiences.  The program will sponsor 10 to 18 year-olds from several established youth agencies, including the Boys and Girls Clubs, Chi Chi’s Foundation, and Hope Children’s Home.
