Schmitten Zell am See:
Top 6,561 feet/2,000 meters. Run difficulty 13 blue (easy), 10 red (intermediate), 7 black (experts). Night skiing every Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday 6:30p-9:30p.
Merging landscapes with the pleasures of art is the so-called "Gallery on the Ski-Slope -Art on the Mountain." This unprecedented project was launched in 1995 and has become an indispensable and integrated element on Zell's "backyard mountain.” These works were then placed at strategic points throughout the ski area on the slopes and the hiking trails, and they currently form the basis for endless thought-provoking discussions.
Top 9,800 feet/3,000 meters. Wide glacial slopes with natural snow, varied routes for free riders, three snow parks, and Austria’s largest super-pipe for freestylers. 53 ski lifts, plus for non-skiers there are unforgettable experiences at Gipfelwelt 3000. It allows you to savor the entire fascination, energy, and grandeur of high alpine nature. From its position at the edge of the "Hohe Tauern National Park" the summit complex offers stunning insights into - and views of - the mystical Kitzsteinhorn and the Hohe Tauern mountains.
Rentals can be transported from each mountain on request via rental shops with multiple locations on both mountains.
